Letter
By Helen Gottesman
Dear Sarah:
I saw a copy of your magazine two years ago and I thought it was wonderful.
I
have a four and a half year old son named Adir Chaim who was born with
Down syndrome. His birth parents (also Jewish) could not deal with
their first child being less than perfect. Their loss was our gain.
They just did not see that he was a diamond in the rough. We adopted
him with the assistance of the JCAN (Jewish Childrens Adoption
Network). He is a handful, but the cutest little handful you could meet.
